Join PFI at the Thermal Biomass DC Summit

October 14th, 2011 in News Archive

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Washington, DC, a coalition of rural, renewable energy, and natural resource interests from across the U.S. will gather for an education and outreach event, the Biomass Thermal DC Summit. Summit participants will engage policy makers and renewable energy-related groups on the substantial benefits of biomass thermal energy use: increased rural economic activity, energy independence, healthier forests, and effective tax policy.

Over the past three years, the combined efforts of numerous non-profit organizations, community members, and businesses have raised the profile of biomass thermal energy in Congress. This event seeks to build upon that foundation.
